If I enable multi-process in Firefox 52/53 for Android by adding off browser.tabs.remote to the config it locks the browser so it can not go to any pages even the about:config. to turn it back off. I have to uninstall and reinstall the browser to get it to work again.

Is there a way to enable multi-process without the lockup of Firefox on Android? I have tried this on a Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1 Firefox 52 and on a Google Pixel with Android 7.1.1 Firefox 53.

Hi

Multi process is not currently available for Firefox for Android. I have had a chat to the team working on that version of Firefox and they are looking into rolling it out in the future, but currently it is still a work in progress.

Good to know. Thank you.

PS. If you are in speaks with the devs; might I suggest that they implement a way to get to the config settings when or if someone borks their Firefox so they can fix it without reinstalling.
