I don't want it as default browser . It wants to be on my desk top. I can live with that but I'd prefer it to stay on the dock.

Hi Sstretch, To change this, when you have Firefox open, right click on the icon and select "Pin to Doc"

When you close it, the icon should still be there.

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
