I got surprised when I got a message from "Mozilla Add-ons nobody@mozilla.org via e-mail-od.com" to my private e-mail address not registered with Firefox forum. Message copied bellow for reference:

"Dear add-on developer,

We've updated our AMO Developer Agreement to reflect the new distribution options for Firefox Add-ons and clarify our review policies. You can read the updated agreement here: https://developer.mozilla.org/Add-ons/AMO/Policy/Agreement

These changes are prompted by our new requirement for all Extensions to be digitally signed by Mozilla. The updated agreement explains the review criteria that apply to listed and unlisted Add-ons, review process, and the Extension signing process. Add-ons (currently Extensions only) which are not compatible with current versions of Firefox desktop will not be signed and are not impacted by the new process. The changes go into effect on June 1, 2015.

If you have any questions or concerns, here are some resources for you: FAQ: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Addons/Extension_Signing Add-on forum: https://forums.mozilla.org/viewforum.php?f=7

Sincerely, The Add-ons Team"

If the above message is really from Mozilla.org then I wonder how come they got my private e-mail address? PS: I did not click any link or reply.

Thank you

Registration for the addons.mozilla.org website is completely separate from this Firefox support forum.

The addons support forum is here, maybe they will have an answer for you about that email you received. https://forums.addons.mozilla.org/

Since Fred does not work for Mozilla a reply from jorge-villalobos there would one from a Mozilla employee for confirmation.

The addons.mozilla.org and forums.mozilla.org are the only mozilla.org sites that can use same account from one on another.

Hi, thank you for detailed reply. As far as I remember I use this forum and my e-mail for reply is not where I had received the e-mail I was talking about and that is why I was worried. After joining that addons forum which was one or two days before someone on that forum said the text message is original and from them. Still not clear how come they got my private e-mail address? Any way thank you for your help.
