i go to a website and it automatically redirects to another website. will not stay on any site iwish to go on. how do i fix this?

Does it always happen for the same website, or for different websites?

A first solution is to enable Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page in the Advanced panel in Options. (to open Options tab, click on menu button upper right then select Options, next click on Advanced)

Is it related to use of

Not sure where you got that from. IIRC Yahoo does keep releasing addons that are not compatible or not reviewed and accepted as suitable for Firefox. I did find

I presume that is unofficial and not even related to the official Yahoo organisation.

Questions/Suggestions

  1. Does the problem stop when you disable that Yahoo addon ?
    • Do you know where you downloaded this from ?
  2. Does the problem stop in Firefox's safemode ?
  3. Possibly if 1 0r 2 does not help it is a Malware issue please try the following:
