I am fairly sure this occurred while i was editing a style in stylish to change the way Firefox looked. However i tried starting in safe mode, making a new profile and installing a new version (aurora). But nothing worked.

It seems this is an issue with aurora and nightly builds at the moment as installing the beta release fixed the issue.
