I have a recurring problem with Firefox warning me that a perfectly safe https site is http and temporarily barring access until I confirm that I want to risk proceeding to it. The latest site to get this treatment is https://bloctel.gouv.fr/, which is a French government website. This is extremely annoying. How can I fix it?

OK, problem solved: I'd omitted the ".gouv". So, had entered the address incorrectly. All the same, the automatic message was inappropriate and should have told me the address was incorrect.

Sometimes a server redirect only works via http and not via https or you need to use a www. prefix like in this case because the certificate is valid for *.bloctel.fr Use:

@cor-el Afraid that doesn't help becausem even when I type in the https prefix, I get the message:

"Le site n'est pas accessible en HTTPS

Vous allez être redirigé automatiquement vers le site en http". Which translates as " The site isn't available in HTTPS. You will be automatically redirected to the http site."

However, the site I actually end up on is https.
