Inbox mail stopped 2 days ago

The 2 error messages below are all that I have received from Firefox on the main inbound mail page.

1) The folder "inbox" cannot be compacted as another operation is in progress. Please try again later

2) DELE command did not succeed. error marking a message as deleted. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Too many requests

So what do I do with that information?

Hello, Can you please confirm if you are seeing these problems when you are using Thunderbird or on Firefox ? Based on the details, it looks like that you are accessing your email from the browser (Firefox).

The error messages you provided is typically sent by the mail server (ATT.net mail) might be in the middle of some operations. You can try after a while and see if the operations are completed and if you can check your mail.

Thank You

Hello, Can you please confirm if you are using Firefox or Thunderbird when you saw this issue. Am guessing it is Thunderbird since you are seeing a message regarding another operation being in progress. And looks like delete from the mail server (att.net) is also not working.

Can you please check and confirm if you are able to delete the email from the browser (Firefox) so that it helps in narrowing down the issue on Thunderbird.

Also, do you continue to see this problem ?

Thank You

P.S: I think my reply was not sent and hence am adding my notes again.
