I have been using Thunderbird for some years, currently 52.2.1 (32-bit). Suddenly today when I tried to send a reply to an email I received an Alert "Invalid Helo". I have not changed any settings in Thunderbird over the past few months and all was working well until today. The Outgoing server is smtp.hosts.co.uk I use Authenticated SMTP on that server, but I have not changed any settings on my Namesco email I tried sending the reply to the same email using Outlook 2010 and all went well. What do I need to do?

I decided that I would reinstall the particular account from scratch; this worked OK and "normal service is resumed. I still do not understand why my system, or Thunderbird decided to corrupt/alter my account settings, but these things do happen!
