firefox is crashing all the time - any time I go into the options area it shuts down. I cannot send an email with an attachment it will shut down. Also the - square and + menu in the upper right corner is all black. I can click in the area and it works to minimize or expand but you can't see the characters. I tried changing the color schemes but that doesn't work.

Your System Details list shows that you use Firefox on a Windows 2000 computer.

You can check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode.

You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.

You can check if it helps to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key.
