What do I do if my bookmarks in the Firefox backup folder in my finder window is only kb instead of mb?
Hello,
For some reason my bookmarks disappeared as well as my bookmark toolbar. I was able to get the bookmark toolbar back minus my customizations. After I followed to the steps to view my Firefox information that is automatically saved (including bookmarks) in my finder window I noticed that the size of each folder in the bookmarks backup folder is way too small. I have over 1,000 bookmarks but the folders are reading kb. With that many bookmarks, the size should be in the mb. What do you suggest I do?

I don't think that 1000 bookmarks would take 1Mb in a backup file.
I have 1536 bookmarks in a 576kb JSON backup file.
My friend has only 615 bookmarks which takes 188 kb. I have almost 2,000 and it's reading as only 12 kb. Do you know why this may be and what do you suggest I do to restore my bookmarks to my Firefox browser?
The last number in the bookmarks backup file name is the number of bookmarks in that file. So, a file named bookmarks-2014-07-12_1536.json is a backup that contains 1536 bookmarks and would be like 576 KB in size.
2000 bookmarks should be like ~800 kb in size in the backup file.
There should be 10 backup files saved, do you have any that are close to that size?
I have 3235 in 1.2 MB: bookmarks-2014-07-01_3235.json (a search for ";" in the Library give 2582)
I'm not sure if separators and other stuff is included in the count in the file name if I check an older HTML backup via the Web Console.
