I provide end user support for a web site that uses Java to connect. We have had problems with Java 7 causing slowness due to a caching error. We are working to update the program but it will take time possibly past February when the Java 6 will no longer be supported. What are the chances Java 6 will be blocked once it is no longer supported by Oracle?

Plugins like Java are usually blocked via a soft-block (severity=1) and can be re-enabled by the user or may only give an outdated notification (severity=0).
A hard block (severity=3) is not very likely and that is only done for malware.

So that shouldn't become a problem.
