Vista, FireFox 4: Firefox 4 thinks it is always a "first run". Everything has returned to default settings no matter what has previously been changed. How do I stop this?

I had 2 different versions of firefox 3... I installed firefox 4 and all of my firefox versions starting thinking it was the first time they had been run... and they continued to think it was the first run when you would start any of them since after installing FF4.

Did you create separate Firefox profiles (or do you run them under different Windows users)? If they share a profile, that could cause confusion.

For Firefox 4 only scenario, see Firefox has just updated tab shows each time you start Firefox | Troubleshooting | Firefox Help.

To create and switch among profiles, see Managing profiles | How to | Firefox Help.
