I had an issue with Thunderbird and uninstalled it. Went to the website to download a fresh copy and now find that most of my calendar items have disappeared.

I understand now that there is no compatible version of Lightning available as yet for the latest version of TB and I can't re-install an earlier version due to changes made to the profile. This is a big issue. A calendar is surely an integral part of any mail app

Why not place a warning on the website about this instead of offering, effectively a beta download, that damages current user's systems?

Such a shame for an otherwise great mail app. Any help would be very appreciated Jim

Calendar (aka Lightning) is now built in, so the Lightning addon is no longer needed.

But are you referring to the provider for google calendar addon?

Hi Wayne, thanks for the response. I can see the in-built calendar is working now. I lost a lot of items that were previously set in the old one (many historical items remain). I did have Google calendar set up but that disappeared and I haven't tackled that yet. Is there a suitable replacement Google add-on yet? Cheers Jim
