My email has been working fine using Thunderbird for months now, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. As of today I am getting an error message that the :"Mail Server Responded" "Temporary local problem, try again later. I called my IP provider who is ipage.com and told them my problem. They checked everything on their servers and said that they did NOT see and problems and that it was on my side. I then uninstalled Thunderbird, re-installed Thunderbird, checked all the settings, deleted the password, reset the password and still I get the same error. Tried to upload small 17k screen shot but that just sat there spinning in circles.

Try posting your screenshot again. They often fail at the first attempt.

You probably need to try to get a bit higher up the food chain at your provider's help desk. The message says to me that the server is in trouble, but IMHO you haven't yet found any sufficiently competent staff to sort it out.

And it may be just one of those things that gets better without anyone saying what was done to fix it.

Zenos, I found the problem. I had to change the server settings in Thunderbird. Server name needs to point to "pop.mydomain.com" & "smtp.mydomain.com", It has always been "pop.ipage.com" & "smtp.ipage.com" My user name in Thunderbird allowed me to get my mail. This worked beautiful for months without any issues but today it gave out and I had to make that simple change to fix it. What makes it so frustrating and hard to pinpoint is why the original settings allowed me to get my mail every day without any indication that my settings were wrong. I have to give the credit to the ipage tech. as he found the issue but could not explain why it worked until today. ANYWAY THANKS FOR YOUR QUICK REPLY!!
