Phone numbers are missing on vcf import into address book

When moving to a new computer I exported all my contacts from Apple Contacts into one vcf-file. On importing this into Thunderbird all contacts were taken, but only with name, address and email. All other information, e.g. phone numbers, is missing. On checking the vcf file in a text editor, the phone numbers are there. Why does Thunderbird not completely import the information?

Chosen solution

It might be due to the Apple vcf file format being incompatible with the one expected by TB. I suggest you install MoreFunctionsForAddressBook, then open Address Book, select the address book where the imported contacts will be stored, Tools/MoreFunctionsForAddressBook/Actions for contacts/Import vCard/vcf, and see if all the info is imported.

To install the add-on, drag the xpi Download link and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.

Thank you, I've seen this Add-On as a potential solution during my websearch, but it is no longer offered in the Add-Ons within Thunderbird. Is it still compatible with Version 52.5.0?

Yes, I tested the suggestion in TB 52.5.2. Some functions of MFFAB are not working in TB 58b3.

Thank you, solved the issue. Might be a good idea to extend the native address book functionality in future versions.
