I`m working in windows 7 professional 64 bit with a Gmail account

I`ve set the location for the mail on my E disk rather then my C disk. (E:\Thunderbird)

Nevertheless thunderbird keeps downloading to C:\Users\T\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird.

Somehow my emailsignature doesn`t come through, my contact favorites have gone, as are the dictionarries and the agenda.

I would like to be sure all the links are set correctly and no mail gets lost.

Thank you.

Chosen solution

Changing Local Directory moves only the mail store. I think you want to move your whole profile.

You'll need to (or ought to!) change your E:\... back to its default value after moving your profile. Separating individual mail folders out the way you have done leads to fragmented data stored in assorted folders that only you can make sense of.

Any advice about moving copying or restoring profiles can only deal with the general situation where everything is in the profile. If you separate bits out, you'll need to keep track of it yourself.

Thank you very much Zenos! I had the intention to move to whole lot but did not see or overlooked the part about moving the profiles to the same location. I`ve done this now. The favourite contacts and dictionarries are still missing but this a very minor issue. Thanks for the swift help!
