Tabs in 89 have moved to the bottom of the screen obscuring web page content. How can i move them to the top where they were? I am not a programmer, so a simple solution would be helpful.

Hi Mike, What you're experiencing is definitely not normal. Looking at your previous questions, it looks like you've been using a userChrome.css file. Could you try removing your userChrome.css file, and tell us if the problem still occurs?

Remember that userChrome.css and other ways of customizing Firefox that are not exposed in the interface are there for developers, not end-users. None of the scripts you have been given are provided by Mozilla.

Sounds that the code in your userChrome.css is broken and needs an update.

You can try the code in the solution in this reply that I've edited for Firefox 89+:

  • /questions/1305615 tabs below address bar - an ongoing problem not fixed !!!
  • /questions/1339095 HERE is the answer to put "TABS BELOW" which will work with Firefox V90 using the - userChrome.css - file

Chris,

Thank you for that. That solved the problem and put my tabs where they should be.

Mike
