I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, but there seems to be nothing else which seems to fit better.

I have developed an iOS App which supports Firefox Sync since about 10 years, so users of my App can directly access their firefox bookmarks. Within these years it seems that Firefox Sync has deprecated the BrowserID authentication method (which I didn't noticed because everthing worked fine) but only since recently the relevant API call "certificate/sign" is no longer working, so the authentication process will fail.

Therefore I'm looking for information how exactly I can implement the authentication now. Unfortunytely it is very hard to find reliable API documentation. Most API docs that are found seem to be heavily outdated and still list the no longer valid "certificate/sign" API call. Even the docs which already mention that Browser ID will be canceled in the future are also already outdated and half of the links lead to 404 pages.

So I would like to ask the following: Is there any definite valid up-to-date API specification for Firefox Sync and its authentication process available (suitable for third-party Apps which can not rely on Firefoxs own internal frameworks and code), and where exactly can I find it. And if a need to register an app ID/client ID and secret to be able to authenticate the App, how and where can I do this? Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Thanks for all the help...

Hello Firefox Support,

I am experiencing an issue with the Firefox browser and would appreciate your assistance.

Problem Description: I have been encountering the following issues with Firefox when accessing my website:

The website layout is not displaying correctly. Some elements, such as images and text, are misaligned or missing. Certain interactive features, such as dropdown menus and buttons, are not functioning as expected. The website appears to be slow to load compared to other browsers.

What I Have Tried:

I have already tried the following steps to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, they haven't worked:

Cleared the browser cache and cookies. Disabled all browser extensions and plugins to check for potential conflicts. Updated Firefox to the latest version. Checked the website’s compatibility settings and ensured it adheres to modern web standards. Tested the website in Firefox’s Safe Mode to rule out any issues caused by custom settings or extensions.

Additional Information:

Website URL: https://getinstander.com

The issue seems specific to Firefox, as the website displays and functions correctly on other browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

The problems are consistent across different versions of Firefox and on both desktop and mobile devices. Attached are screenshots demonstrating the display and functionality issues.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance in resolving these problems. Thank you in advance for your support!

Best regards,

When I attempt to start either Firefox or Thunderbird they continuously cycle saying "Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. The old Thunderbird process must be closed to open a new window". When I close it down - it cycles to same message on both Mozilla products. Last night it all worked well - today this. I am on WIN 11 SH3.

As it never starts I cannot use Mozilla troubleshooting.

So why since I updated from like version 96 or something to the latest version 128.0 of Firefox, is there no sound on X (Twitter) videos until they play one time first. I literally have to slide the slider to the end, then replay the X vids now to get sound. And I cant do that on live streams there so Im stuck with zero sound on lives. What the hell happened? This wasn't an issue until I updated Firefox finally.

This is exactly why I avoid installing Firefox's near daily updates like the plague for as long as possible. Almost every time you update, you regret it.

Can anyone help? If not, FF is gone and Im going to a different browser. You get tired of 27 updates a month after a while and stuff changing and other stuff not working.

Running Win 10 on a CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit) With an upgraded 32GB of RAM. Everything else works as fine as it always did.

1.)Firefox 128, pressing enter into an empty search box no longer loads the default search engine website? How to reset previous search engine settings? 2.) I also noticed in firefox 128: I've noticed that you can no longer delete previous searches from the search field. Previously you could use the arrow keys to navigate, then press the shift or option key (varies by platform) in combination with Delete to remove old entries.

My school library has a proxy server for connecting to subscriptions at various content providers. The site certificate is wildcarded, because the proxy server's name becomes the domain for the particular site to which the authenticated user is connecting. This has been the recommended way for libraries to connect institutionally with commercial content providers since at least 2000. The attachment shows the response that I get when I connect to my library with Firefox. You aren't allowed the opportunity to tell Firefox to accept the certificate as legit and connect anyway, which is extremely annoying.
