problem with firefox

When launching firefox I get the message BLOCK SITE Blacklist elements have not been loaded causing firefox not to connect to any sites. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla several times but did not fix the problem. I downloaded a maleware program and ran it but the problem remains. I have removed Mozilla from my pc and am using another search engine until a solution is found. My pc is running windows xp. Thanks in advance for your help. and
