I have moved my downloads folder to another drive, not C. I set firefox to download to D:\Downloads in the options.

Recently (not sure how long), it has been downloading things to:

C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp

Checked the setting, and it is still pointed at D:\downloads.

Not sure how to fix this. Don't see the same question anywhere.

Firefox usually immediately starts downloading in the background if you click a link and doesn't wait until you specify a file name and location.
Firefox should move this file to the download folder that you selected once the download has finished.
If this doesn't happen then you may have security software that is interfering.

You can try to set this pref to false on the about:config page.
