Multiple confirmations required for the same add-ons

I use the same profile both at home and at work (on an USB stick). At home I have Symantec Norton Internet Security, at work another antivirus. NIS installs add-ons for the browser to add security which get uninstalled when I start the browser at work. So every evening when back at home I need to confirm again that they can be installed.

Is it possible to set add-ons in a trusted list so to avoid this problem?

I guess that the same behavior could happen with other products.

It is better to use separate profiles and sync data that you want to use on both of them.

You can also use the portable Firefox version that comes with its won profile.

Thank you for your answer.

I was already aware of the existence of this feature, but I do not want to have my Firefox profile stored on an external server and I do not want to have it copied on top of the work PC profile (or in general on the work PC HDD)

Firefox portable will not solve the issue as I do not have problems in installing Firefox on both PCs and point them to the profile storage on the USB flash memory.

I just want to continue working as I did in the last years, carrying my Firefox profile on a (encrypted) USB stick and pointing Firefox to it when launching, without being nagged every evening with add-on confirmations.
