Chosen solution

in about:config the browser.search.suggest.enabled = TRUE

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_search_or_add_new_engines

Tryed all that, ended up with uninstall (without removing user data), and now it works.

Thanks all.

If you install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/, does that fix the issue? It is designed to repair your search engines.

1. does not have any effect

2.manage search engines/restore defauls is disabled

if I go: about:config I see searchreset.backup.browser.search.defaultenginename;Yahoo! Search

but that cant have any effect as any of search engines is instaled. Have no idea where Yahooo came in, I always had Google.

3. As stated in first post: Help/restart with adons disabled/reset default search engines

has no effect at all.
