I'm sick of my Opera browser constantly dissappointing me. Is there a way to port my bookmarks and sessions from Opera into Firefox? Would be great if I could do this with my passwords and cookies but that's probably asking too much.

I'm ready to switch from Opera to Firefox; what are my options when it comes to porting my opera bookmarks and sessions? Any way I can also port my cookies and passwords too?

Heya,

does this help you? Importing bookmarks and other data from Opera ?

Cheers!

Thanks, it's great I can migrate all those things. Is there a plugin that gives you a function to the "speed dial" function in Opera?

Also, is there a way to save a browsing session in Firefox? Let's say I'm researching parts for my next computer and have two browser windows open with five tabs each - one of the better things about Opera is that I could save the current browser windows and tabs (and even browsing history) as a "session". This would allow me to close things down and come back later and pick up where I left off in my research. Is there any sort of similar function in Firefox?

Thanks for the Speed Dial plugin.

The session restore is nice but it only seems to save what was last open. In Opera I have about a dozen different sets of tabs saved as "sessions" (File>Sessions), is there a Firefox plugin for this?

Thanks for the help. I'll be porting everything to Firefox shortly.
