Perform a clean reinstall of Firefox.

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then try to disable Virtualization.

Tried the clean install to no avail. Also, disabled virtualization with negative results. Also tried to reinstall Version 3.6 with same negative results. Finally after uninstalling all and cleaning registry, was able to load version 5.0 and it works.
