The import option in the pull down FILE section is gray and not working.

I want to copy my IE favorits to Firefox.

My operating system is Windows 7

Why are you using Firefox 4.0b12?

Are you in the Private Browsing mode?

Don't know why the File import is disabled, but it is not for importing a bookmarks.html file.

Use the Library List using

  1. "Ctrl+Shift+B" or from Bookmarks (menu) > "Show All bookmarks", then
  2. "Import and Backup" (menu) > "Import HTML..." > ...

Your IE Favorites will be added to a folder named something like "Internet Explorer Favorites" as the last folder in your Bookmarks Menu folder.

Changed from Private Browsing -- Every thing ok now.
