mozilla firefox 5.0.1 moxilla firefox start page. there is a search window in the middle of the screen. (It used to be a google block) now there is nothing written above it and there is no response when clicking on the search button beside the box

You can try to delete the file chromeappsstore.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder.
