can not open my browser. It says proxy server refuses connectiom. This happened after an update to firefox

If you do not use a proxy, in Firefox go to Options > Advanced > Network > Connection > Settings and click "No proxy" to select it.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
