Chosen solution

To disable or remove an add-on, you can use:

Tools menu > Add-ons

Check the Extensions category first. If it's not there, it could be under Plugins.

Any luck?

By the way, there is a version 4.9.3. Maybe it fixes the problem?

If you are getting a black or blank screen for Youtube video.

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.

Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache

or Firefox->Preferences->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]

Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie if above does not do it.

edit as it was a Mac user.
