No, it definitely isn't. I got the same problem after installing Google Books Downloader. As I hardly ever used this profile (it's on a virtualbox), I simply deleted the complete profile folder. But if you want to keep your history files, bookmarks, saved password (you most certainly want this!), than have a look at the last reply in this thread: https://support.mozilla.com/nl/questions/850780 .
