This happened once before, one day it worked, the next it didn't. I found out how to fix it here but it was so long ago I can't remember what it said to do.

Sometimes add-ons will interfere with the clipboard in Firefox. This article lists some common suspects, but you also can try Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether copy and paste works with add-ons disabled.

First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see Backing up your information.

Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox Safe Mode. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.

Does copy and paste work again? If so, one of your add-ons (especially Extensions) likely is the culprit.
