4.0RC1 - Bookmark hover fault - still present in 4.0.1
Hover over an item in the list of bookmarks. The text shown is for the item 6 places above the one being hovered over.

I have 4RC on XP and I am not able to reproduce this fault. I am not sure exactly what you see. I have tried from the
- bookmarks library
- bookmarks toolbar - including nested folders
- firefox button -> bookmarks
Is the problem to do with your own computer, or do others also see it ?
Sidebar opened on clicking the 'Display your bookmarks' button only. (I don't use the bookmarks toolbar and had not realised the hover is available in the library.)
I tried another XP SP3 PC and the problem did not occur.
I now realise that the problem occurs only on my main PC, which has a large monitor with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx = 1.17. Otherwise same config, same extensions as on the other PC.

OK I can now recreate that problem on my machine.
I have not gone any further and tried it in safe mode for instance, or tried to find what values cause this, but when I use the sidebar and have layout.css.devPixelsPerPx=1.17 I do see the problem.
Well spotted, hopefully someone will help you with filing a bug report.
Fault still present in RC2.
Have you tried in [Safe Mode] and with the latest updated version of firefox ?

The fault is still present in 4.0RC2 (V2.0.0.4094 / BuildId 20110318052756 / 19Mar2011) in Safe Mode.
It occurs in the Bookmarks sidebar (ctrl-B), but not Show all bookmarks (ctrl-shift-B), and not the Bookmarks drop-down menu.
Unfortunately I think there is little interest in this problem, but fortunately, there will be easy workarounds, eg do not use that particular preference and setting, or use an alternative method if looking at bookmarks.
I also notice that the status bar type information displays correctly, so the tooltip information is redunadant information. I did post possible bug firefox 4.0 sidebar display with Windows XP about the problem and followed up with filing a formal bug
This bug is still present in Firefox 4.0.1.
Yes it is also still present in Firefox 6 (as at 21st April)
