I'm thinking about just keeping small icons (after this is fixed), because it looks so bad with the back button being the size it normally is. It feels like it should be 3 rows, not 3 and a half. That icon with the bars is Avast 6 Web Rep, which might cause the issue.

I don't have Win7, but on WinXP the buttons on the Navigation bar are the same size as the Location bar overall height for me. In your screen shot, the circular part of the unified back / forward button looks oval instead of round.

Have you tried temporarily moving that Avast button in the Customize Palette, to see if that changes the other buttons?

I just removed it, and it went back to normal. However, most times doing anything in the customize makes it go back. I'll test to see if it goes back to what it was doing.

You should contact Avast about that problem, so they know that their avast! WebRep extension needs to be fixed.
