Wordpress plugins can be found here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

I am just trying to install Word Press on my Mac and the system states:

"PHP: Installation on Mac OS X" can be of help, but I recommend to do that at home only for testing purposes or if you run your home machine online 24/7.

"Installing Wordpress" would probably be the next thing to read after you install PHP.
