When I am presented with a "Captcha" image window, it is always blank. Nothing Ihave tried will allow the image to appear. This has been the case since FF went to ver. 3.5, prior to that it did work. Other similar kinds of screening devices do work, such as the numerical one used to access this forum; it is only the Captcha images that do not display. The Captcha images do appear when I use IE, so it is a FF specific problem.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window.
