Cannot chance password or generate recovery key

I wanted to change the password of my Firefox account and also generate a recovery key, but whenever I try it says "invalid password". The old password is correct, though, as I can use it to log into my account. I've tried multiple times on two computers and checked and re-checked the password, but the error message keeps appearing.

Chosen solution

You may need a fresh login to the accounts.firefox.com website to generate new recovery codes via the settings page, so if necessary logout and login again.

Thanks, cor-el! After the first logout and login, I was able to change my password. On another device, after another logout and login, I was then able to generate a recovery key with the new password.
