How do I backup my data on Firefox for Android?

Is there any way? I've been searching all day but only run into dead ends:

-Firefox Sync - doesn't work with only one device

-"Copy Profile" add-on (https://www.addictivetips.com/android/export-your-firefox-profile-from-a-non-rooted-device-to-your-desktop/) no longer seems to exist

-Editing APK to change allowBackup to true - can't install the edited apk without uninstalling Firefox, which would delete the very data I'm trying to back up

-Rooting my device in order to access /data directly - prevailing advice seems to be backup your data before rooting, which I can't do

Is there any other approach I am not aware of?

No. Accessing the profile data for Firefox requires root. Copy profile no longer works with modern versions of Firefox.

Sync should in theory work. Though I have never tested it with only one device. Just know that you need to make sure that you use the exact same user name and password to log on in both cases. You could install Firefox Beta or Firefox Nightly and Sync to that version to test if the data was uploaded correctly.

If you reset the Firefox Account (Sync) password then the uploaded data will be deleted.

Looks like that won't work, firefox for android doesn't sync all data (e.g. add-ons). Thanks for the reply though.

Really frustrating that ADB backups are disabled for firefox. Are there any plans to turn that back on or make it a setting users can change?
