Quitting Firefox from "switch app" screen.

Until recently, I used to be able to quit Firefox with a simple swipe in the "switch app" screen.

Now it only seems to "hide" and I can only attain the same result by either opening the menu, scrolling all the way down and pressing quit or by opening my tabs screen, opening the menu and closing them all.

This is rather inconvenient and I would much rather go back to the previous behavior.

Any insight on why the change might have happened and how to revert it would be welcome.
