Have Firefox on my desktop & need no password. Firefox is on my phone but doesn't seem the same. Very confused; would like to access it from my phone the same as I do from my desktop.

I have no idea why the app will not open without a password. This is not a feature of ff of which i am at all aware. It seems more like some sort of optional device security setting.

No you can't lose anything on your desktop by uninstalling ff from your phone. If you use sync, to be safe, i would not attempt to sync the desktop to an empty android profile, if that is even possible. (I don't know much about sync, i avoid cloud services.)
