Hi, one reason is that Extension A/V programs are not as good as Stand Alone. 2nd Malware is the cause of most issues and not a virus so a stand alone paid Malwarebytes is better for protection.

Another reason would be is they have not submitted it for evaluation or refuse to make changes to run with Firefox.

Your issue is with the maker of the program. Their home page has certificate issues : Unable to communicate securely with peer: requested domain name does not match the server's certificate. HTTP Strict Transport Security: false HTTP Public Key Pinning: false Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN They are using the certificate for https://my.webrootanywhere.com/ on below address which is the cause of the error https://webrootanywhere.com/ which any respected site would not do. or all of the above is fake. As this seems to be their page also : https://www.webroot.com/ca/en/home/products/av I do not see a Extension or any Firefox info, suggest ask them.

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.
