I experience this issue daily. Started on the 13th of January 2018. Memory runs out after 15-20 minutes of watching 1080p-1440p youtube videos. Not every time, but quite often the OS has to terminate firefox, because it fills up 16GB RAM. The last time it happened my whole system crashed. This is a serious issue. I'm going back to chrome in the mean time.

Since no one here has any info provide no one will be able to know what is going on there. Your problem is either corrupted or bad FF install causing that problem as I have FF57.0.4 and have no issues with youtubbers.
