"Deleted sessions" folder is using a lot of space. Can I delete the contents?

Daisy Disk app revealed that I have nearly 40G of files in my 'deleted sessions' folder (Users-My name - Library - Application Support - Profiles - Foldername.default - Sessions - Deleted Sessions).

Is is okay to delete these? There seems to be little rhyme or reason about their naming eg session 12 contains files might have been created earlier or later than session 4 files.

Hello, per http://sessionmanager.mozdev.org/documentation.html sessions can be deleted by

1) installing https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/

2) see the section about deleting sessions http://sessionmanager.mozdev.org/documentation.html#other I have copied and pasted it bellow. " Deleting session(s) - Session(s) can be deleted either by clicking on the "Delete Session(s)" menu entry and selecting the session(s) to rename and clicking delete or by right clicking on a session and choosing "Delete Session" and confirming you want to delete the session. Session can also be deleted using the browser's "Clear Recent History" ("Clear Private Data" in Firefox 3) menu item in the Tools menu. Simply check the box for "Session Manager Saved Sessions". In Firefox 3.5 and above, the user can also specify a time range. WARNING: Checking the check box to clear sessions at shut down will cause Firefox to always clear the sessions when Firefox is exited.. " This is a much better idea then deleting the folders.

I just tested this my self and can confirm that it works you can also have sessions delete after X days Let me know if you have any questions.
