I have been getting Pop Up Emails from a site that says it's conducting surveys or offering discounts to click on and proceed to another site. It usually says it's conducting the survey for a known company like Quest, or often uses the name of the company site I'm trying to go to. I have tried restricting cookies, pop up's , etc. but can't seem to get rid of this annoying site. I even had it come up 3 times while trying to navigate the Firefox site. Ex.address .... http://spinandwin.com-eso.pw/us/initial_p.php?t=rp

How do I stop or block this site? Thanks, CCS

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your device.

  1. please go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc).
  2. run a full scan of your system with different security tools like malwarebytes for mac which is specialised in removing adware and browser hijackers.

Thanks for your help, but after weeks of trying, I finally was able to find the ad companies web address. I went in and unsubscribed. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

you appear to have malicious addons present - please follow my steps for your own security anyway...
