Last night my computer asked to update my AMD GPU driver with the latest driver. After update I opened firefox and everything was fine untill I clicked +button to open a new tab. The entire firefox window started to flicker. I tried on windows explorer or any other installed programmes and everything is ok. The only problem is the new tab making firefox flicker. By flickering I mean that the entire window goes black and returns but very fast like flickering. I tried to uninstall AMD GPU driver and then reinstall the latest version. The issue was still present. Then I have downgraded my GPU driver with 1 edition before. The issue still remains. What can I do?

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar. Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Appearance. Then select Default.

Now restart Firefox.

Thank you for taking the time to help. The problem was a style (from an addon called "Stylish") I applied for about:newtab. I use this style for a long time now but I guess an error occured when I updated my graphic card driver. Anyway I did exactly as you said and the problem is gone now. I also removed the addon completly (Stylish) with all the stiles applied on top of it, then I removed the theme asociated from appearence called FT Deepdark. Now I need to find a different completly black theme. Thank you!!
