Hello There!

This Native Firefox Web Browser version offered in the form of a Bundled package under a Govt. of India's free Initiative is unable to retrieve any New Update. The Current version is 14.0, & checking for the newer version reveals that "Firefox is Up-to-date"!...& is currently on Beta Channel.

Refer to the attached screenshot please. Can someone please help me explain the Science on why the Native versions are not able to remain synchronized with the latest release? How can then I be able to safeguard my Security & Privacy against all the known BUGS & pitfalls?

Dear Christ1, May you please able to comprehend a reason that whether does the Localized versions rely on some Exclusive server to fetch the Product Upgrades & Updates? Secondly, please try & understand that through the method suggested by your goodself, I'll be overriding the Hindi Interface of my existing version, & thus the resulting outcome would be an all English Interface. Therefore, Please help suggest some ergonomic option for the issue reported to you---"All Mighty Powerful" :-)

As said there is a long list of languages Firefox is available as including Hindi (India) हिन्दी (भारत) at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ as en-US is not the only locale.

If you thought it was only English version in link given earlier due to en-US in url well that was just the language for the page and not Firefox.

A third-party or modified build will not get updates from Mozilla.org

I don't know why your v14 does not find updates. Download the latest version from the Mozilla web site and install it. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

If you want the Hindi version, download the Hindi version from the link above. Simple as that. I'd expect later updates to work via the built-in update mechanism.

Thank you very much to Dear Christ1 & Dear James. :-) Though I haven't tried the workaround as suggested, but Iam assured of Success by the kind of conviction you both have displayed in this regard. Will certainly keep you posted on the matter. Till then, Iam all Happy to mark this case as SOLVED. Thank you very much.
