Hi all

So I've been using firefox aurora for quite some time without running into any problems, but since this morning aurora keeps crashing whenver I open 2+ or more tabs that use the flash player plugin ( e.g. Facebook and Youtube is a combo that always results in a crash ).

Now, I've noticed some threads about people having similar issues, but didn't find a solution aside from genral fixes like starting firefox in safe mode, disabling hardware acceleration, etc., none of which seem to work.

If anyone knows of any way to fix this, please post it here.

Cheers

Crashes or other problems with certain multimedia content in Firefox (such as Youtube videos and Flash animations or games) can often be resolved by performing the steps in these Knowledge Base articles:

On Windows Vista and above, you can disable Flash protected mode by following the instructions on these pages:

(See this Adobe blog post for technical details about Flash protected mode.)

Please tell us if this helped!

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately none of the above articles helped and neither did disabling protected mode.

Also, I should have noted that the version of Firefox Aurora I'm using was updated today 29/6/14, so my issue may be fixed in a later update. Still, a fix or a workaround would be greatly apprectiated.

Bug 1031697 is fixed now and 1031852 was a duplicate of 1031697 and 991626 was a older bug for Thunderbird.

So if there is a build for Aurora on Monday then it should have the fix.
