This started when I updated to 41.0.2 . Started firefox in safemode and it worked a few times now does it all the time even in safe mode. Tried uninstall/install and refresh, did nothing for my problem. If I delete the xulstore.json file it will hide for video full screen, still no auto hide for browsing, and when restarting firefox xulstore.json comes right back. I love using firefox I would like to fix this.

Is this only about the Navigation Toolbar or also the Tab bar?

Does "Hide Toolbars" has a tick if you right-click empty toolbar area?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Are you using the Firefox version from the official Mozilla servers or the version from the repositories of your Linux distribution?

Try the version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.
