Thanks Cor-el.

I've cleared the cache and removed the cookies in the problem sites, and the user-names and passwords are not saved in the Firefox Password Manager.

Hope you can help further

Kind regards

Alex

You are using an older version of Firefox. It's possible that that particular version doesn't work with those websites' programs (bug), and that upgrading to a newer version might solve the problem.

Hope this helps.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

Can you login to that website in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode?

You can also enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history [[X] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"

Doing it that way won't close the current tabs. Remove [[ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session" to exit Private Browsing mode and return to normal mode.
