Slow Startup
I have been having a problem with firefox startup being around 23 seconds for the last 10 days
i have since found out what the problem is and startup is back to sub 1 second
by default a pdf file is opened by an app thats on my nas (windows exlorer shell extension) nothing at all to do with firefox for the last few days i have been replacing the nas so it has been unavailable
and every pc has been taking 23 seconds or so to start firefox
i am in awe that this would affect firefox startup as there is no reason firefox should be trying to access the file on every startup
i was very close to removing firefox from all pc's
removal of this registry key fixed firefox
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\PDFEdit.exe] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\PDFEdit.exe\shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\PDFEdit.exe\shell\open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\PDFEdit.exe\shell\open\command] @="\"\\\\Nas\\f\\Apps\\Foxit Editor\\PDFEdit.exe\" \"%1\""
why on earth was firefox trying to access it on every firefox start
btw firefox was setup to render pdf's internally

That file is (or was) showing in the downloads window.
