Hi, I had to restore my pc i forgot to backup Firefox data before, in any case in the previous time that i've changed computer once i accessed my Firefox account it has synced everything automatically and this time not. Can it be because i had to restore my password this time, since i forgot it ? Is there anyway to recover my data (bookmarks, saved logins, etc) ?

Thank You

If you did reset the password of the Sync account then this caused all data on the Sync server to get removed, so it is lost and you can no longer access it. This is because this password is used to encrypt your personal data locally before it is uploaded to the Sync server and only this password can decrypt this data.

You would have access to a local backup of your personal data to be able to restore it.

Hi Cor-el,

Thank you for your time and help. Unfortunately it does not solve my problem. I've followed the steps in the sent link but in my xxxxxxxx.default folder i only have a json file and i guess it does not contain any information..

So i must assume that i will not be able to recover any of the data, is that correct ? What a shame..

Thank you for the help.

Best regards
