For the last week or so, I haven't been able to sync my emails to Thunderbird even though this is working fine for Outlook. Before a week ago it worked fine though.

Hej Jag har installerat Thunderbird på en ny dator och då stannar e-posten kvar på servern fast de finns i Thunderbird. På den gamla datorn laddades de ner helt till Thunderbord. På den gamla datorn har jag version 115.11.1 (32-bitar) och där finns funktionen "Lämna kvar meddelanden på servern" att välja under serverinställningar och den rutan är urbockad. Den nya datorn har versionen 115.12.1 (64-bitar) och där finns inte den funktionen med. Hur gör jag för att Thunderbird ska hämta e-postmeddelandena och inte lämna kvar dem på servern. I really appreciate everything you do, but I am a boomer (Loud and Proud), I did not get born with a device attached to my hand, I am a digital imbecile.

With all that in mind, it has become too difficult to keep up with the digitalisation, at least in my case. So when you send me suggestions and update procedures I end up just closing everything, too much to read, too stressing, but the suggestions keep coming every time I open the firefox browser. Can I not just keep the version I have and decline any new versions.

I also have a problem in regard to language, it is set to English, but I do not care for US English, I would like to have GB English, but somehow it won't accept that.

What can I do?

My email sending defaults to send later, I have to close Thunderbird to get the emails to send now.

I have looked at extension and NONE are set

When I receive junk email, Thunderbird shows mail received (for example 10 emails) there are ...again for example 3 in my inbox and the other 7 are nowhere to be found. Not in junk and not in trash. I am concerned that there might be some emails that are not junk that I am not able to get. I would like to be able to review the junk folder prior to deletion. What setting options do I need to change to make this happen? I am using pop email... Thanks!!

I updated to 115.11.1 (32-bit) and unified folders will not appear and the option will not stay checked. I have exhausted my options. I previously had 64-bit with same issue so I deleted and installed 32-bit as some said this would help the issue ( I'm on 64-bit windows 10 OS).

I've tried deleting smart mailboxes, virtualfolder and jsontreefolder

nothing is working, I am at wits end. Please help!

Automatic update on my Windows 10 desktop of the the new update 127.0.1 resulted in a version of Firefox that worked more or less for some web sites but was unable to reach others.'

Thunderbird could not get to the att server starting Sunday; it's now Thursday night. (Everything else inexplicably went down: landline, internet, cell phone, even the printer.) Now it's all back except a working Thunderbird. Today I finally made contact with someone at att who could show me that my password was working and went through all the account variables in Thunderbird, testing them out to no avail. Her conclusion was that the problem was on the Thunderbird side. But I need my 30 years of files. I have just been through a thread from 11/23 full of similar problems but no solution that I could figure out. I am ignorant. Can anyone provide some instructions for an ignorant 88 year old to follow for at least a better diagnosis. (I guess I'm saying that many words need definitions for me.) I hope I've bookmarked that long discussion with varying ideas so I can look at it again when I recover from this week. Thanks for any help.

My computer (Windows 11) crashed while I was using Firefox--for the first time that I've seen, it did a full disk check. When booting back up, I was unable to use Firefox, since it said that my profiles.ini file was lost/corrupted.

After renaming the old file, I went back to the folder. It was easy enough to reinstall the add-ons that I needed, but I'm trying to get my bookmarks back. However, I can't seem to find them--the "bookmarkbackups" folders that come up are too new, and only one (the current one) has a file in it.

Any help will be appreciated! I'm not sure what I can do.

When I launched Thunderbird this morning the right-hand-side panel is completely blank. The left hand side panel shows my folders and if there are any unread emails in them but the right hand side is just completely blank (as per attached image).

So I've had Thunderbird for a few years. I've always had my (multiple) email accounts set to both check for new messages at startup, and check for new messages every 2 minutes (I keep it open in the background so I can be alerted ASAP). However since the last 2 updates, I can no longer fetch messages either every x minutes, or manually (Get Messages does nothing), and the only way to get new messages is closing and restarting TB completely, defeating the point of having it open in the background.

I've tried: 1) unchecking both 'Check for new messages at startup' and 'Check for new messages every x minutes' = still can't manually pull in mail with Get Messages (the status bar says it's checking, but nothing gets pulled in unless I restart TB)

2) leaving ONLY 'Check for new messages at startup' OR 'Check for new messages every x minutes' selected = nope

3) starting and restarting both TB and my PC = nope

4) checking my antivirus isn't blocking anything = it isn't

5) checking all my email account server settings/passwords are correct = they are

6) testing out Betterbird with the same accounts and seeing if it's still an issue = this also affects Betterbird

7) checking my email accounts are working in other software like Outlook/webmail = they're fine, I can get email there normally

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

I keep getting this message...please advise, thank you: Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. The server responded: Insufficient system storage.

My thunderbird configuration file in appdata/roaming is huge -- 8 GB. I was trying to clean out old stuff and deleted all the messages in Archives. Then I emptied the trash. BIG MISTAKE! all my gmail accounts now have an empty inbox. I'm not sure if when I delete a message from inbox, if it also deletes it from Archives. Why does TBird store my gmail inbox in archives? My configuration file is still 8GB, so maybe they are still out there somewhere.

I think it would be nice sync-ing bookmarks would include favicons too.

When I bookmark a site from my work computer, the favicon would not appear in the bookmark of my home computer.

When I reinstall Firefox the bookmarks are restored, but not the favicons.

So, it would be nice to sync favicons too. Makes bookmark more aesthetically pleasing.

As of Sunday, Thunderbird can no longer reach my ATT server to download email. It has behaved for ten to fifteen years. Last time someone at ATT fixed it. I have been on the phone or on screen with ATT most of my waking hours since Sunday. (In the process I lost my internet, my landline, my cell connection, etc.) Everything is restored except the connection between Thunderbird and ATT. Everyone thinks changing my password will do it. Done it four times. It gets me into the ATT mail. I have replaced the password in Thunderbird settings with it to no avail. Is there anything you can think of? Not only is Thunderbird more attractive than ATT, I have thirty years of mail boxes there, a continuation from Eudora. I will appreciate your wisdom.

IMAP account on HostGator.

In the last 9 months or so, every once in a while (sometimes several times in a row!) when replying to a message, Thunderbird does not set the \Answered flag on the IMAP server.

I enabled IMAP logging and finally caught this happening. The reply is sent and copied to the Sent folder, as it should, but the original email is never flagged as \Answered.

I can't seem to see a pattern why Thunderbird skips this step, occasionally.
